Dear All, I'd like to explain to you the credit test requirements You need to prepare a lesson plan for the lesson you are going to teach us during your presentations tomorrow. The lesson plan should cover the whole lesson, but you're going to teach us a part of it, explaining the rest of it during the presentation. I'm asking you to share your plans until 7 pm tonight (27 April, 2020) for me to have time to get acquainted with them. I'm going to grade your presentations together with your plans. Here is a link to a sample lesson plan you can use to prepare yours: It is based on the speech titled "Txtng is killing language. JK!!! by John McWhorter. It's based on the talk discussing the development of the language, esp. in terms of SMS eslbrains.com/txtng-is-killing-language-jk It contains the Students' ( https://eslbrains.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Txtng-is-killing-language-by-John-McWhorter-SV.pdf ) and the T...

Girls,
ReplyDeletethanks for your participation. Can you think about the topics you would like to discuss as part of this course? I'll share my suggestions with you in my post and am hoping you will share yours with me and your peers in your posts. Looking forward to learning about your suggestions
Dear Natalia Yurievna,
DeleteIn my opinion, it is going to be interesting for students of our age to discuss the issue of choosing your life path and how to constitute oneself. It is essential to understand who you are and what you want to do after graduating in order to succeed.
Natalia Yurievna,
DeletePersonally, I would be interested in learning more about such platforms as Moodle and Canvas and implementing them in Russian classrooms. Also, it would be great to find out more about online-based open-book testing, and whether it can be used with Russian students.
Natalia Yurievna, would you, please, share with me some pieces of literature on learner autonomy and CALL?
DeleteThank you. Sincerely, Anastasiia Ovchinnikova
@Angelina: a great suggestion to learn more about these platforms. I'll prepare the materials to do it and we'll have a session or more doing it
DeleteAlso, can you give me some feedback on the LP we discussed today? Was it useful? What did you learn from this discussion?

ReplyDeleteAngelina, thanks for sharing the playlist, I'll get acquainted with it for sure. However, I expected that you would also add why these are your favourites among other things.
DeleteActually, I have the same comment about what the other 2 students Nastya and Alice have done, i.e, just shared the links to their favourite clips. What other activities can you suggest so that this lesson will become more useful? What skills can be developed during the lesson in which you can encorporate watching a music clip?
DeleteDear girls, I am sharing with you the link for my playlist. Enjoy!
