Post 4: Tools and ideas for the language classroom (Tasks for the week March 22-28.2020)

Dear All--

I'd like you to get acquainted with the presentation 60 ideas in more than 60 seconds, which contains a collection of different suggestions about different ways of using the technology in the classroom

Here is what you should work on during this week (March 22-30)

1. Get acquainted with the presentation the link to which you can see above.

2. Choose 3 tools or ideas you are not familiar with/haven't used yourself from those discussed in the presentation (e.g., "Making the News", "Use GIS in the Classroom", "Create a Virtual Field trip").

3. Study the Lesson 1A: Reading from the textbook Spotlight Year 8  (I've uploaded it on my drive). Here's the link to the textbook: https://bit.ly/2JbojIn.

You should study this lesson and suggest how you can use the tools (ideas) from the presentation to give your students a more individualized instruction, with a greater amount of practice in the skills practised in this lesson, e.g., listening, reading or vocabulary.)

4. Do you foresee any problems or difficulties in completing this task? Suggest a way of coping with them?

5. Publish your completed Task in your folder in your blog (publish the link to it in the thread below too, could you?).

6. Get acquainted with the lesson design suggestions prepared by 1 of your peers and be ready to discuss them in class next week.
